Electronic Music Festivals create a distraction from the everyday life, creating this way an alternate reality through music and communication.
There are hundreds of electronic music festivals around the world, but the most famous and popular ones are in Europe, so here is a list with Europe best electronic music festivals.
1. Tomorrowland
Location: De Schorre, Boom, Belgium.

Tomorrowland is without any doubt the most famous electronic music festival in the world.
Tomorrowland began its journey as a small festival in Belgium, and now has grown massively into one of the world's most important EDM festivals.
Every one of its 20 stages has different decor, and it's personalized based on the style of the artist that performs there.
In 2014, Tomorrowland announced that in honor of its 10th anniversary, it would be held for two weekends, rather than the usual one.
Also known as the festival of crazy records, in Tomorrowland 2012 hosted more than 185.000 people from 75 different countries.
One year later, the remainder of the 2013 Tomorrowland tickets sold out in more than 1 second, while the full madness passes took only 35 minutes to be completely sold out.
Tickets are sent to their purchasers along with a computerized bracelet that allows them to pass through the security at the festival.
Ticket prices vary but in 2014, the three day standard tickets 'Full Madness' had a cost of €290.00, camping in Dreamville included.
While enjoying the good music you can also explore the beautiful lakes and trees that are located in the festival site.
2. Ultra Europe
Location: Split & Hvar, Croatia.
Line up: features famous DJ's, such as Hardwell, W&W, Afrojack, Martin Garrix, Nicky Romero, and many more.
Ultra Europe kicked off only in 2013, but has already left its mark on the European dance scene. Only on its debut, this 3 day long festival welcomed 103,000 people from 75 countries.
Ultra is held annually from 12-14 July and it is divided in two locations.
The first two days of this event are held in Poljud Stadium in the city of Split, and the third day is held in the famous island of Hvar.

Mysteryland is the first festival of its kind in the Netherlands, organized by the Dutch promoter ID&T.
The first editon was held in Maurik Island in Lelystad in 1994, one year later, due to difficulties, was moved in Rotterdam.
Currently, Mysteryland takes place in the Floriade Park, in Haarlemmermeer, and is visited by approximately 50.000 people.
In 2011, and then in 2014, this festival went international by organizing Mysteryland Chile and Mysteryland Bethel Woods, New York.
In 2015,tickets prices start from €148,00.
Held annually in the last Saturday of August making it the perfect way to end the summer.

4. Electric Love
Location: Plainfeld, Austria

Electric Love has grown bigger and bigger since 2013, becoming Austria's leading electronic music festival according to EMF Magazine.

7. Balaton Sound

Since it's first edition on July 2007 Balaton Sound Festival has become the second largest festival in Hungary and one of the is also one of biggest open air festivals in Europe.
Located in the west part of Zamárdi, Balaton lasts for four days and usually starts on the second Thursday of July.
To entertain its visitors inside the festival area are available stages, tents and lounges.
Also visitors can stay at the camp site, which has several pubs , bars and restaurants.

Since its inception in 2012 Summerburst festival has turned into Sweden's largest electronic music festival.

The event is split into separate two day events, with one taking place at Gothenburg Valhalla IP, and the other taking place at Stocjolm Stadion.
Valhalla Arena is transformed into Gothenburg's largest dance-floor with chill out spots, food and beverage area.

Location: Novi Sad, Serbia.

Exit Festival started in 2000 in Serbia as a student movement to 'Exit out of the situation the country going through' and since then has been going on for 15 years.
This four day long festival takes place in Pterovaradin Fortress, Novi Sad and is attended by over 2 million people.
Over the years Exit Festival has gained media popularity, becoming a popular destination for electronic music fans from all over the world.
The New York Times and CNN have listed Exit Festival in the top ten festival destinations around the world.
Exit Village is another reason why this festival is one of the best in its kind.
Inside the Exit Village there is a variety of activities to enjoy with sound systems playing non stop music, a pool, and the opportunity to play sports such as badminton, football and badminton. There is also an entertainment park which includes bumper cars.

10. Ozora
Location: Ozora, Hungary.

O.Z.O.R.A. Festival made its first debut on August 11,1999 under the name Solipse.
Named after the village where it takes place from 2004 and present, Ozora is the number one destination for psychedelic trance fans.
Visited by thousands of people each year Ozora is one of the most influential psychedelic trance festivals out there.
Tickets cost around €130+fee when purchased at the gate, whilst the weekend ticket costs €110, fee included.
